Academy / Organic social that books the next action
Booking is the metric, not likes · 28 min
Vanity is not a win
In this lesson
- Name the booked action a post must create
- Separate a useful comment from a like
Likes do not put a buyer on the lot
Dana’s intern posted three sunsets and a “Family-Owned Excellence” graphic. The page gained 80 likes. Saturday appointments stayed flat. Organic social earns its hour when a stranger can do the next thing without guessing: book a 48-hour test drive, come Saturday 9–5, tap the inventory link, or reply WANT and get a human time. A like is a shrug. A comment that asks “do you still have the CR-V?” is a lead if a human answers with hours and a book path. This course grades the book path. Reach without a next step is a report you should be embarrassed to send.
Write the conversion event on the caption first
Before the hook, write the event: booked sales appointment (lot) or booked chair (spa). Then write the one sentence that creates it. Then write the hook. Teams that start with a trending audio and hope the caption “can mention the lot later” produce entertainment, not desks. Entertainment can be a vehicle — a 15-second walk past three CUVs still has to end on Saturday hours and the offer. If you cannot say the event, do not film.
Report the book, not the shrug
A useful weekly sentence: “4 shopper comments, 2 WANT DMs, 1 Saturday book from the CUV walk-around.” A useless weekly sentence: “Engagement is up and the brand feels alive.” Dana pays rent with appointments. If you only have likes, say so and name the ritual you will run next — two-hour comment replies, end cards with WANT, a named owner after 6pm. Do not invent a book count to make the slide pretty. Do not screenshot another dealer’s Insights.
Exercise
Kill the vanity caption
Rewrite “Family-Owned Excellence ☀️” into a caption that names the 48-hour test drive, Saturday 9–5, and a reply word. Then write one line you will not report as a win (likes, shares, or views).
Deliverable: 1 caption + 1 vanity you refuse.
