One job per send

In this lesson

  • Name the next booked action before you write the first line

The send finishes a search they already started

They asked about a CR-V. The text should get them to a Saturday appointment or a 48-hour test drive — not a meme, not a newsletter, not “rate us five stars.” Email subject lines name the unit and the town: “CR-V still here — Saturday 9–5 Frederick.” Body: two facts, one button or reply word (BOOK / CALL), STOP in the footer. If you cannot say which appointment this message is for, it is a blast. Blasts burn consent. Verification: read the last human sentence they wrote. If your draft answers a different sentence, cut it.

Worked good vs junk

Good SMS: “Northfield Motors Frederick: the 2018 CR-V you asked about is here Saturday 9–5. Reply BOOK for a 48-hour test drive. STOP to opt out.” Junk: “🔥 HUGE WEEKEND DEALS click this bitly.” Good email: hours + the unit + same-day financing on approved credit + one CTA. Junk: a 12-image collage with no unsubscribe. You will write Northfield fiction. You will not swipe a live dealer’s SMS.

Exercise

Rewrite the junk blast

Rewrite “🔥 HUGE WEEKEND DEALS” into one SMS and one email that book a Saturday CR-V look. Include STOP / unsubscribe.

Deliverable: 1 SMS + 1 email, each with a booking job and an out.
