The review-reply ritual

A five-star note that says “bought a CR-V Saturday, Dana’s team was clear on the 48-hour test drive” is a closer other shoppers will read. Thank them, name the fact they named, and point to the next honest action — browse this week’s CUVs or book another service visit — without begging for a second review in the same breath. A one-star that says “drove to Frederick Saturday and you were closed” is usually a hours bug you already failed. Do not argue that the buyer “should have called.” Apologize for the card, say the real Saturday hours, and invite them to book a time a human will be there. Never invent a discount to erase a star. Never paste a live customer’s last name, phone, or VIN into a public reply.

Praise: “Thank you for naming the 48-hour test drive — that is the offer we want Saturday buyers to use. If you want another look at CUVs this week, call the Frederick desk during Saturday 9–5 and we will put a unit aside.” Pain: “You are right that the Maps card said closed. We are open Saturday 9–5. I am sorry we wasted your trip. Reply here or call and we will set a time a closer is on the lot.” Fake-legal: do not diagnose a medical condition on a spa review. Do not promise a HUD or credit outcome. If the review is about a live rooftop you do not own, you are in the wrong profile — stop.
