The two-hour comment ritual

In this lesson

  • Answer a public comment with a fact and a book path

Public replies teach the next shopper

“Is the CR-V still there?” → “Yes as of 10am. Saturday 9–5. Reply WANT and we will hold a 48-hour test drive.” “What’s your cheapest car?” → do not invent a price; invite them to inventory or a call during hours. Hate or bait → hide if needed, do not argue brand honor. Never drop a live phone dump, VIN, or credit detail in a public thread. If the unit sold, say so in public so the next ten readers do not drive over for a ghost.

Speed is a named human

Two hours during desk hours is the SLA. After 6pm, the reply can wait until morning unless Dana named a Saturday owner. A like on the comment is not a reply. A public “send us a DM” with no hours is a shrug. If three shopper comments sit unanswered overnight on a Friday, Saturday books die before the lot opens. Write who owns Friday 4–6pm on the calendar. If the name is unknown, you do not schedule a Friday “we are here” post.

Exercise

Answer three comments

Reply to: still there?; cheapest car?; “you were closed Saturday.” No live PII. No fake prices.

Deliverable: 3 public replies + one refuse line.
